Stage 7: Upload and Organise images into Galleries create a primary link to see the images
Go to "administer - image galleries" and make sure you have at least 2 galleries. If not click "add gallery" to add more.
Upload your first image by clicking "create content - image" where you will see a simple form.
- Give the image a title.
- Select a gallery for the image
- Browse to your "My Pictures" folder and select the image you wish to upload.
- Enter a brief description
- Click "Submit"
Repeat this so you have at least 6 images uploaded and with at least 2 in each gallery.
To allow visitors to your site to see the galleries, you need to create a new link in your Primary Links menu.
Go to "administer - menus" and under the "Primary Links" section click "add item".
- For "Name" enter "gallery"
- For "Description" enter "Gallery"
- For "Path" enter "image" (please ensure all lowercase)
- Do not tick "Expanded"
- Leave "Parent Item" as "Primary Links"
- Leave "Weight" to "0"
Click "Submit"
You will now have a new menu link on the top right of your site which links to your galleries.
